A Local Way to Stay Fit and Keep Active
It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, super fit or a couch potato, you have to stay active! Just 30 minutes a day of walking can increase cardiovascular fitness, bone strength and muscle power.
That is the key to feeling young at heart. Staying active is essential in keeping your back and spine mobile and functional.
With over two decades of chiropractic experience, I know just how important it is to maintain the health of your spine in the same way you address other health challenges.
All around the local area there are plenty of opportunities to stay fit and healthy, although one of my favourites is The Bay Run through Drummoyne, Five Dock and Rodd Point.
The Bay Run: Harbour Views and Plenty of Variety
The Bay Run circles Iron Cove Bay and is a 7km stretch of walking paths. If you’re a local to this area, you’ll be familiar with the trail that begins underneath the Iron Cove Bridge.
With picture perfect views and an abundance of native bushland and gardens, this is one of the most picturesque running tracks around.

4 Benefits of Walking Every Chiropractic Patient Should Know
- Helps with weight management and weight loss
- Improves mobility and flexibility
- May help relieve back pain, in some cases
- Improves circulation
If you walk a lot, you may find your muscles tighten up. This may contribute to feelings of discomfort. If you have an underlying structural problem (spinal misalignment, tilted/twisted hips, poor posture), you may benefit from a chiropractic checkup.
